The first thing I did was play around with a few tools on photoshop. The first tool I use was the quick select button which I use to cut out a background. I drew around the piece of the image I wanted therefore cutting out the original backgrounds I could place my own behind the images.
Secondly after I had drawn the box around my image I used refine edge. I used this to make sure that there was no excess background within my images, after I clicked the refine edge tool I selected smart radius and changed a few options which were smooth and the contrast.
Thirdly after doing this I clicked output and changed it to new layer with new mask then clicked okay. After I done this I decieded to click text box and I placed my masthead behind my images.

Kayne, you have successfully completed the photoshop skills development task, using tools that will be invaluable when it comes to your main task construction. I would look to try and gain further experience on Photoshop and be sure to record any practice work that you do on your blog.
